Enriching the audit experience for clients and our people

We continued to transform audit execution and delivery through enhanced use of artificial intelligence and further development of RSM Luca, our digital audit ecosystem. This evolution included investment in new data extraction, testing and analysis solutions that automate and streamline key audit processes.

Increased technology adoption facilitated sharper data-driven business insights, greater efficiencies and improved information sharing within our teams and with clients. For our auditors, whose judgment, technical skills and deep industry knowledge are paramount, this added capacity for critical thinking and higher-value activities deepens their ability to provide strategic insights.

Beyond the audit, our quarterly accounting update webinars, financial reporting resource center, board and audit committee insights, and industry-focused video series, The Audit Statement, help our clients stay informed on key accounting and financial trends.

Developing our talent

Amid changing stakeholder expectations, an evolving regulatory and business environment, and rapid digital advancements, investment in continuous learning supported RSM’s ability to deliver high-quality audits and to drive innovation. Through industry-specific, technology, technical accounting and leadership training, our [####] audit professionals sharpened their skills, deepened their knowledge and became better first-choice advisors to our clients.

We delivered more than 200,000 hours of continuing professional education (CPE) training across the assurance practice; on average, each RSM auditor increased the number of CPE credits received by more than 5% over the prior year. Expanded education for employees earlier in their careers includes our annual in-person Level Up conference. This year’s event featured an innovative Human Insights Challenge and a Digital Grand Prix competition that advanced participants’ ability to apply digital solutions that maximize quality and efficiency and enhance the client experience.

Bolstering our commitment to audit quality

This fiscal year we established the RSM US audit quality board (AQB). Its three board members are responsible for providing independent advisory and evaluation of the sufficiency of RSM’s assurance practice regarding quality control and system of quality management matters. As we continue to enhance our services and improve the audit experience for management teams, boards and our people, the AQB also offers advice and recommendations on audit quality-related aspects of the firm’s operations, culture, governance and risk management.
